The Type 96 WAPC is a contemporary Japanese armored personnel carrier. The first prototypes of the car were developed in the early 1990s, and serial production started in 1996 and is still going on. It is estimated that in 2014 there were 365 Type 96 WAPC vehicles in the line. The drive is provided by a single motor Mitsubishi 6D40 with a power of 360 HP.
